PGS March Recap

March was a memorable month for everyone at PGS, combining our day-to-day commitment to customers with a major milestone for the business. Whilst our engineers continued delivering servicing, maintenance, and repair work across a range of commercial and domestic systems, the month will be remembered for a particularly special achievement that reflects the hard work, dedication, and expertise of the entire team.

Celebrating Success at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards

The highlight of March was undoubtedly PGS being named the winner of the Small and Medium Business Award at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards.

This recognition means a great deal to us as a business. It reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown across every area of PGS, from delivering high-quality service for our customers to investing in training, innovation, and continuous improvement.

From our engineers working on sites across the country, to our administration team keeping operations running smoothly, our marketing team sharing our journey, and our directors leading the business forward, this award belongs to every member of the PGS family. Each department plays an important role in ensuring we continue to deliver the high standards our customers have come to expect.

We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and grateful to our customers, partners, and suppliers who continue to place their trust in us. Their support has been instrumental in helping us reach this milestone.

Whilst awards are never the reason we do what we do, it is always rewarding to see the collective effort, professionalism, and passion of our entire team recognised within the wider business community. This achievement is a reflection of the people behind PGS and the culture we continue to build together.

Supporting Customers Through Planned Maintenance

Alongside celebrating this achievement, March remained a busy month for our engineering team. Planned maintenance continued to play a significant role in helping customers keep their systems operating safely and efficiently.

Our engineers carried out a range of boiler servicing works throughout the month, including servicing district heating boilers by our specialist engineer Dom, whose expertise in oil-fired systems helps ensure critical heating infrastructure remains reliable and efficient.

Regular servicing remains one of the most effective ways to identify wear and potential faults before they develop into costly breakdowns, whilst also helping to maximise efficiency and extend equipment lifespan.

As temperatures gradually begin to rise, March also saw the team carrying out air conditioning servicing work. Routine maintenance of air conditioning systems is essential in ensuring equipment is ready to perform when demand increases during the warmer months.

By servicing systems ahead of peak usage periods, customers can often avoid unexpected failures and maintain efficient operation throughout the year.

Teamwork on Site

March also highlighted the collaborative approach that underpins many of our projects. Our engineers Kellan and Alex worked together to complete pipe replacement works, restoring system reliability and ensuring continued operation for the customer.

Elsewhere, our apprentice George successfully completed a 2-inch float valve replacement at a commercial property, supported by experienced engineer Korben. Opportunities like these allow developing engineers to gain valuable practical experience whilst benefiting from the knowledge and guidance of senior members of the team.

The month also included additional servicing and maintenance work undertaken by Kellan across a number of customer sites, helping keep systems operating safely and efficiently.

March Summary

March was a month that perfectly reflected what PGS is all about. Whilst our engineers continued delivering the high standards of service our customers expect every day, the recognition received at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards provided an opportunity to celebrate how far the business has come.

The award is a testament to the dedication of our team, and it motivates us to continue delivering the reliable, professional service that our customers rely on. As we move into the spring months, we look forward to building on this success and continuing to support customers across all aspects of heating, mechanical, and building services.
